Bad signs…

Is Louie OK? First feather pulled. It came completley out, or it looks like it. I don’t know if he’s got irritated skin, if he’s upset or stressed.

That’s definitely not a good sign, and I don’t want it to become a habbit or something…

New stuff (especially shoes)

Everyone’s doing school shopping. We went today, after registration. We bee-lined for the galeria and bought tons of stuff. 8O
I got one new pair of jeans, and two converse shoes. I’m still looking for some good running shoes in my small foot-size. Surprisingly: I’m a size five at women’s foot locker, and a size….this will surprise you! A size 2 1/2 in kids. TWO (and one half)!

The shoes:

My shoes from KF were picked out by my Mom. I love them! (Size 2 1/2, remember?) Pictures will come eventually….(the camera has about 200-400 pictures which will all have to load before I caan get to the 2-4 pics of my shoes.)

The other pair, were Jack something..I got them from Nordstrom’s. They’re so cute! (Will, post more, but its 12:30 and I’m going swimming tomorrow at 7)

Sewing! (and other stuff)

Ooh, who likes sewing? I do–when I have a machine. o0 So, my Mom and I are working on a purse for me. We picked out some material (with Jello) at our local fabric store and we began today!

I’ll post pictures later…

Now, I decided to make a cute little handkerchief. Yay! For the inside of the purse you use this kind of padding called: batting. ^____^ I put that on the inside of my handjerchief and just sewed it up. Its really soft and splooshy! I lurvvv it! 8D

Mainly, its for when people start to tear up. I mean, I don’t want foreign snot on it, do I? No. Way. So, pictures shall come later as well. I’ll do it tomorrow, but its one AM right now.

So, on another subject entirely: guitar. Gosh, I’ve wanted to play guitar for ever. Literally since I was able to understand what it was (younger than first grade) At one point in time, my Aunt actually taught us (Me, Jello and Bella.) She’s a great guitarist. Any how, she moved to New York, and I get to ichat her. Yay! However, we still need to set up more lessons. Meanwhile: I’ve been looking up chords and can play a couple of songs, but only 2-3 all the way through. (This includes colors of the wind–Pocahontas.) Currently, my fingers are feeling better, but a while ago, they felt pretty dead. I don’t stop playing though, honestly–its fun! The only problem, I can’t read actual tabs or whatever they’re called. I can just read, say:

G        A     Bb

Blha, blah blah..

Soak City

I knwo, I don’t come up with creative titles. Eh…I mean Soak City. Wow, great title…

Any way, yes. As you know, or should: I am one of those people who don’t get out often. I’ve never been to many theme parks. Yep. First time at Soak City. Rating: 4.3/5

Why: Read Below:

The good:

Well, the rides are definitely awesome. You’ve got that cone shaped one that spins you in your little four person or two person raft. You’ve also got the huge water slides that spin you around like crazy. M’hm. Wonderful! Besides that, we had a cabana. That’s good too, we get food and drinks, a place to st and inner tubes.

The bad:

Well, let’s not turn this into a full-on rant..however the things that kept this from getting a full 5.0 are as follows:

There were lots of bees .2

Some one vomited in the Tidal Wave Bay .4

There were long lines .1

That acounts for a full .7, which is the missing portion/amount to reach 5.0.

Swimming:

AUG 11: To everyone’s amazement, in the swimming relay, the US team won! It was amazing, the US won by a few seconds alone. I remember something where the French team said they’d “smash” the US team. Well, they were very close to their goal.

Anyone who wasn’t watching should have seen Michael Phelps’ face. It was hilarious! He’s reached his goal of eight medals now. In three days or so, he’s gotten three medals that have helped him achieve his goal. yay!

Gymnastics:

AUG 11: I’m sorry, but I want China to win for this. Have you seen them? Well, they have huge muscles (the guys), and the girls are amazing! They really know how to impress. Yup! Also, the guys can pretty much support their weight on their arms. You should see it if you haven’t.

AUG 12: Watching USA currently (Men’s). Apparently we’re doing the best so far. Man they’re amazing!

Diving:

AUG 11: (Men’s synchronized) Again, I’m rooting for different teams..not US. Ok, China has got it down pretty much. Almost perfectly synchronized. Then, I liked Russia too. ^^ There really isn’t much to say about diving, however US was always off. It didn’t matter how little or how much, but they were always a bit off. :(

AUG 12: Alright, I think this is woman’s synchronized and their diving from thirty feet. Ok, US did really well for the first. Two Chinese girls 15 and 16..wow they were perfect. Seriously, completely synchronized and they entered the water cleanly. Canada now, very well synchronized, but not as clean as the Chinese.

This one girl, Haley Ishimatsu dove 33 ft at age 12. I forget what team she’s on.

Tennis:

AUG. 12: Well, I’m watching that right now…currently want Australia to win. ^^ We’ll see how the match turns out. Eh, I dunno what happened or anything…

Handball:

AUG 12: Well, I’m surprised. Finally, I’m watching Handball. Hehe, I thought it’d be more like the game I’m used to playing at school. Well, I never played well. but any way, its different. Currently, its: Poland vs. Spain. The ball used in this game is smaller than a volleyball and weighs a pound apparently. Poland’s winning I think.

Twilight Review

Stephanie Meyer’s Twilight is a new take on the traditional vampire. So, let’s take a closer look! xD

Summary:

The story’s heroine is a young seventeen year old girl by the name of Bella Swan. She is the daughter of Reneé and Charlie Swan (divorced). Every summer (I think) Bella travels to Forks, a small town where her father Charlie (Chief of Police) lives. However, this time, she’s staying for the school year (I think).

Bella soon meets Edward Cullen. Of course, he’s the attractive young guy who’s just her age. Everything about him just makes Bella melt–and guess what? She sits next to him in biology.

Edward and Bella become good friends, and soon Bella learns the surreal secret of the Cullen family. Every single one of them are vampires. She meets the family of course. There’s Alice, Jasper, Emmet, Rosalie, Dr. Cullen (Carlisle) and Esme. Edward, Alice and Jasper all have incredible powers too; Edward can read minds, Alice can see the future and Jasper can sway the moods of other people to his liking.

Bella becomes trapped in a life threatening situation filled with suspense. While becoming used to the well-behaved Cullens, she comes into contact with three vampires. Three normal vampires. (The Cullens eat/suck the blood of animals not humans.

Plot:

Basically, there’s this girl named Bella Swan. She goes to live with her dad (Charlie Swan) in Forks-this small town somewhere. She meets this attractive guy named Edward Cullen. They fall in love, but Edward’s a vampire. And so is his ‘family’. Edward has powers, Bella loves him… yeah.

Overall opinion:

Well, the book could have been better. No doubt with every book, there is one better. This book comes short of suspenseful, truth be told. There really is only one part towards the end of the book…and well, its a little too quick for suspense (I think).

Overall, Bella is clumsy and somewhat dim-witted when Edward is around. Of course he is perfect and everything someone like her could want/need/have. However, I thought the whole “I love you, but I can’t be with you because I’m a vampire..” thing was a bit annoying in the first few chapters. And then, his perfectness. Man, Ok its enough that he is amazingly stunning and attractive in every way, (including his velvety voice and butterscotch/topaz eyes.) but then he’s super strong, super fast and can read minds–all but Bella’s that is. To add to that: my little question: It says in the book that all vampires are somewhat good looking…so then were they ugly when they were humans?

Alright, so with that over with…I give you:

My final rating:

3.7/5

Batman: Batman Begins Review

This movie wasn’t what I expected at all. You see, stupid old me thought that The Dark Knight was its own movie–and not a sequel to Batman Begins. Yeah. See? So, I thought it would be TERRIBLE. Instead, it was so much better than I has expected. Any way, It wasn’t mind blowing, but it was pretty good. In fact, if I hadn’t seen The Dark Knight first, I would so totally be in love with this movie.

So, we will commence with he fabulously long reviews, shan’t we? Well maybe. Any way, the movie was so totally awesome.

Quotes

Bruce/Batman:

[to Ducard] I seek…The means to fight injustice. To turn fear against those who prey on the fearful.

[To the homeless man he traded with earlier in the movie]Nice coat.

Well, a guy who dresses up like a bat clearly has issues. (he says this to some other rich people at his birthday party or something–obviously as Bruce.)

It’s not who I am underneath, but what I do that defines me. [Quoting Rachel Dawes]

Gordon:

[to Batman]I think you’re trying to help…” [notices that he is gone]“But I’ve been wrong before.I gotta get me one of those. [Referring to the batmobile]

Crane/Scarecrow:

[to rachel]“This is where we make the medicine. Perhaps you should have some…clear yourhead.

[to Batman-after breathing in his 'fear toxin'] “”Dr. Crane isn’t here right now. But if you’d like to make an appointment…”

Various quotes:

[Bruce reading newspaper] ‘Drunken Billionaire Burns Down Mansion’

and then there’s that one quote where Bruce is talking to Lucius about cave diving and spelunking or something…but I don’t remember it and can’t find it on the internet.

(I got most of these quotes off of wikiquote)

pictures!!

Have you noticed how lots of times I sart my posts with “So…” eh boring… Ok any way:

Yestderday was pretty fun. My cousin came over (she’s 31) and visited. She’s awesome! Ok, she’s from my Dad’s sie of the family. So she speeks fluent Chinese and yeah…

Well, we eventually started to make dumplings. I hope you know what they are, because I’m not going to explain. xD Any how, we always do this when she’s over. So, we made a bunch and then ate them. Yum! ^^

After we ate dumplings, we walked. We walked around in a big circle, but then went on over to Rite Aid. There, we got some ice cream and tried on glasses. ^^

Once we got home we made soaps! OH MY GAWSH! You don’t know how much fun it is! Its all fun and soapy, but…you can make really awesome stuff when you have molds and all. So now we have a bunch of awesome soaps too. Oh and they smell good too! You can add colors and scents. So awesome!

So yeah…
